Tragedy On Birch Hill Road
Neighbors described the Haywards as a quiet, private family who mostly kept to themselves.
“This is the most disturbing crime I have seen in my 27 years on the force.”
— Sergeant Harold Dugan
What caused Daisy to snap?
The bodies of the three deceased children—all boys, aged 7, 8, and 10—were discovered late Monday evening.
Mrs. Hayward was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Burlington County Jail pending psychiatric evaluation.
“The scene was unspeakable according to officials.”
“I just can’t believe it,”

Blare Boy Still Missing
Blare’s photograph—brown hair, hazel eyes, slight build.
“We are continuing the investigation, but as time goes on, the chances of a safe recovery become increasingly slim.”
The boy’s mother, Daisy Hayward, 34, remains in custody.
Rumblings of the state’s death sentence have been looming.
“He was quiet, curious, and always kind to other kids.”
The boy’s mother has yet to offer any information regarding Blare’s whereabouts and has been deemed mute and unresponsive.
Despite the chilling nature of the case, Wilton residents have clung to hope.
